Dr. Fernandez-Baca's research interests are focused on Combinatorial algorithms, with emphasis on

sensitivity analysis of optimization problems (supported in part by National Science Foundation grant CCR-9988348) and

evolutionary tree construction (in collaboration with Oliver Eulenstein, Mike Sanderson, and Junhyong Kim, and supported in part by National Science Foundation grant EF-0334832)
